Citi Credit Cards
10 reviews and 4 comparisons
Citi runs two portfolios that don’t overlap much. On one side is ThankYou Points: Citi Double Cash (flat cash back, effectively 2%) and Citi Custom Cash (rotating category cash back) for people who just want a simple everyday earner, plus Citi Strata Premier for travel-focused ThankYou Points that transfer to airline partners. On the other side, Citi co-brands American Airlines’ AAdvantage cards.
What sets Citi apart from Chase, Amex, and Capital One is how much retail co-branded business it holds — Citi is the issuer behind the Costco Anywhere Visa, Home Depot Consumer Credit Card, My Best Buy Credit Card, and the Wayfair Credit Card. If you’re comparing a big-box or home-improvement store card, there’s a good chance Citi is the bank actually issuing it, not the retailer itself.
Citi doesn’t run a hard velocity rule like Chase’s 5/24, but approval odds for its premium cards still lean on your existing Citi relationship and overall credit profile.
